Scope and who we are

This Privacy Policy explains how ShopStudio AI ("Product Studio", "we", "us", or "our") processes information when a merchant installs or uses our Shopify application, visits our public pages, or contacts us.

Product Studio is a business tool for creating product imagery and listing content. The merchant is responsible for its use of customer or other personal information submitted to the app.

• Authenticate your store and provide the embedded Shopify experience.
• Manage projects, private media, AI generations, listing content, and exports.
• Publish selected content and images as a draft product in your Shopify store.
• Manage plans, entitlements, credits, purchases, refunds, and renewals.
• Secure the service, prevent abuse, diagnose errors, provide support, and improve reliability.
• Comply with legal obligations and enforce our agreements.

AI generation and Bring Your Own Key

When you request a background, model image, or product content generation, we send the selected source image, structured settings, and any custom instructions needed for that request to Google Gemini. Custom instructions supplement the settings you select.

Google processes requests under its own Gemini API terms and privacy policy. Google's data-use and retention practices can differ depending on whether its service is paid or unpaid and on your Google configuration.

When information is shared

We do not sell personal information. We disclose only information needed for these purposes:

• Shopify: authentication, billing, app operation, and creating draft products at your direction.
• Google Gemini: processing the AI generation requests you initiate.
• Infrastructure providers: hosting, private file storage, databases, queues, logs, monitoring, email, and technical support.
• Legal and safety: when required by law or reasonably needed to protect users, the service, or another person's rights.
• Business transfers: as part of a merger, financing, acquisition, or sale, subject to appropriate protections.

Retention and deletion

We keep information while your store uses the app and for as long as reasonably needed to provide the service, maintain security, resolve disputes, meet accounting requirements, and comply with law. Temporary export files are removed after their configured expiry.

Deleting a project or image removes it from your active workspace. Some records and private files may remain for a period in soft-deleted storage, recovery systems, backups, or logs before final removal.

Uninstalling Product Studio revokes the app's Shopify access and deactivates its shop record; it does not immediately delete project records or files. To request deletion of app-owned shop data, contact us below. Information may be retained where required for legal, fraud-prevention, security, or accounting purposes. Content already published to Shopify must be managed in Shopify.

Your choices and privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may ask to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to processing of, or receive a copy of personal information. You may also withdraw consent where consent is the legal basis for processing.

You can manage projects and media in the app, change or remove a Gemini key subject to active-plan restrictions, and uninstall Product Studio through Shopify. Send other requests using the contact details below. We may verify your identity and store authority before completing a request.

Security and international processing

We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information, including authenticated Shopify requests, access controls, private media delivery, and encryption for saved Gemini API keys. No online service can guarantee absolute security.

We and our service providers may process information outside your country. Where required, we use legally recognized safeguards for international transfers.

Children and policy changes

Product Studio is intended for business users and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

We may update this policy when the product, providers, or legal requirements change. We will publish the revised policy here and update the effective date.
